Manchester United fans thanked former manager Jose Mourinho after his Tottenham side cruised past Leicester on Sunday.
United are battling with Leicester for a place in the Premier League's top four and Champions League qualification, with both teams currently level on 62 points.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side squandered the chance to leapfrog the Foxes and Chelsea last Monday when they could only draw with Southampton, but have now been handed another massive opportunity following Spurs' emphatic victory.
United are not in league action this weekend as they instead face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final and they will play their game in hand when they take on lowly West Ham on Wednesday.
Should United defeat the Hammers they will move three points ahead of Leicester before the two sides meet on the final day of the season.
But United could remove all the drama from the fixture if they manage to win by a big margin against another former manager in David Moyes, as they are now level on goal difference with Leicester and could give themselves a safety net to take fourth spot even if they lose at the King Power.
The odds are now well in United's favour to return to the Champions League and fans have been thanking Mourinho for the favour.
If United avoid defeat against West Ham in midweek, a draw will be enough to guarantee Champions League qualification.
