Manchester United fans have Bruno Fernandes concern ahead of Manchester derby

Some Manchester United fans are worried that Bruno Fernandes might be playing too many games after he was named in the starting XI for the FA Cup clash with Derby County.

Fernandes arrived at United towards the end of the January transfer window and has already become a fan favourite at Old Trafford thanks to his brilliant start at the club.

The Portuguese has three goals and two assists in his first six games and could add to his tally in the Midlands on Thursday night.

Yet some fans would rather have seen Fernandes sit out the match against lower league opposition so he's fresh for Sunday's clash with cross-town rivals Manchester City.

United will be hoping to take a step closer to winning the FA Cup for the first time since 2016 with a victory at Pride Park, which would set up a quarter-final with Premier League relegation strugglers Norwich City.

However, they will have to overcome club legend Wayne Rooney, who starts and captains the Rams against his former side.

Despite the importance of the game, some fans believe that Fernandes should have been rested ahead of Sunday's Manchester derby.

You can see a selection of their reactions below:

Manchester United starting XI vs Derby: Romero; Dalot, Lindelof, Baily, Shaw; Fred, McTominay; Mata, Fernandes, Lingard, Ighalo.

Substitutes: De Gea, Tuanzebe, Williams, Pereira, Matic, Greenwood, Martial.
