Manchester United fans have Alex Telles concern amid transfer links

Manchester United fans are concerned that they will lose out on Alex Telles to Paris Saint-Germain, amid fresh speculation that the defender could join the club.

While attacking targets remain the priority for United and Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho is still the top target, United have been monitoring left-backs this summer due to uncertainty in the position.

One of the left-backs was Real Madrid's Sergio Reguilon, who had impressed United's recruitment department during his loan spell at Sevilla last season, where he helped defeat Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side in the Europa League semi-finals. However, Tottenham Hotpsur are now closing in on signing the Spaniard.

The MEN reported last week a  left-back was not deemed a priority by United  in the current transfer window and no move for Reguilon was ever planned.

That hasn't stopped United from being linked with other left-backs and the most prominent of those has been Porto's Telles, an exciting full-back who has 24 goals and 55 assists in 192 appearances for the Portuguese club.

According to The Athletic, United have held talks over the 27-year-old though, contrary to other reports, a deal has not yet been agreed with Porto or the player. It's reported that United will continue to monitor the situation.

The reports have sent a mixed reaction through the fan base. While some supporters are excited over the prospect of signing Telles, a large portion seem sceptical that a deal will be done.

French champions PSG have also been heavily linked with the Brazilian, following a long-term injury suffered by Juan Bernat, and some supporters are worried that they will beat United to his signature.

M.E.N. Sport understands that United are also monitoring Dynamo Kiev's 21-year-old left-back Vitaliy Mykolenko.

United have until October 5 when the transfer window closes to make any addition signings to the capture of Donny van de Beek from Ajax.
