Manchester United fans hail Brandon Williams, provide VAR verdict and offer defensive criticism

Manchester United fans have been reacting to a seesaw game at Sheffield United this evening.

United trailed 2-0 in the second half thanks to goals for the home side from John Fleck and Lys Mousset.

Everything changed in the 72nd minute when 19-year-old Brandon Williams produced a wonderful right-footed shot after Daniel James' cross from the right.

Mason Greenwood then tucked away Marcus Rashford's pass inside the box just five minutes later as United levelled the contest.

Rashford would end up netting next as he scored the third goal for United inside seven minutes.

Then came another VAR moment as Oli McBurnie found the back of the net and despite the call getting a look over due to a potential handball, the Blades equalised to make it 3-3.

This led to an array of different reactions from United fans, who are torn between praising their side for a brilliant comeback and criticising the team for conceding three goals after what was a woeful start, while plenty have also hit out at VAR.

A win would have seen United jump up to fifth in the table but instead they are back in ninth and nine points adrift of the Champions League places.

From the criticism of United's defence, Phil Jones' poor display before he was substituted at half-time to the wonderful efforts in front of goal, here is some of the best reaction from United fans below.
