Manchester United fans have been sent wild by Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho's performances for Borussia Dortmund against Schalke.
The duo fired Dortmund into a 2-0 first-half lead against their rivals, with both goals coming in the space of three minutes before half-time.
Haaland's goal was a particular highlight, with the Norwegian forward seeming to hang in the air before producing a kung-fu kick to fire home Sancho's cross.
Sancho was then involved again as Haaland grabbed his second of the game to make it 4-0 late on, as he played the ball to Jude Bellingham who teed up a tap in.
The goals were Haaland's 28th and 29th Bundesliga strikes in 31 appearances since joining Dortmund in January 2020.
United were interested in signing the 20-year-old before his move to Germany, but decided to pull out of the deal after refusing to agree to a buyout clause and percentage of future sales.
However, the club continue to be linked with another move for the striker, who used to play under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Molde.
United also tried signing Sancho in the summer but failed to agree a fee with Dortmund, meaning the England international stayed put in Germany.
The 20-year-old remains a top target for the club as they look to bring in a first-team ready right-winger and fans are hoping that both he and Haaland arrive at Old Trafford in the summer.
Sancho endured a slow start to this season and, speaking in January, Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke said he felt the player may have had to adjust to the fact the move did not go through in the end.
"It was signalled that the fee offer would be paid in instalments over several years," he said.
"It was all a theoretic discussion from then on.
"Maybe Jadon had subconsciously prepared for a move a bit. I believe he at least thought about it that much that he lost a bit of his ease, but for weeks now I found him trying very hard.
"I think he needs two, three goals and this could boost his form straight away. He still is one of the greatest talents there is."
In the same interview, Watzke also said he did not see Haaland leaving in the short-term.
He said: "I don't think that will happen. Erling and his advisor Mino Raiola know what they have in us. I can only advise him to do things like Robert Lewandowski."
