Michael Owen has not been far away from controversy this week, but Manchester United fans appear to agree with his comments about Marcus Rashford's finishing.
The release of Owen's new book has seen him create headlines surrounding Alan Shearer, Steven Gerrard and his time at Newcastle. He also explained why he joined United despite having represented Liverpool in the past.
But one quote that perhaps will have caused more discussion at United was his view that Rashford does not have the hunger of a natural goalscorer, a trait that will hold him back.
“I don’t think he is obsessed with goals," Owen said. "He is a better all-round player than me, he has a great touch and all round skill that I never had, but he hasn’t got the killer instinct that I had.
"I was just obsessed…but I don’t think scoring goals is what he goes to bed craving.
"Players like Robbie Fowler, Aguero or Harry Kane, these people who are obsessed with goals. I don’t think he is obsessed with goals."
Rashford's natural position has been a subject of much debate among United fans, and the forward appears to have settled for a wide role this season as Anthony Martial assumes the no.9 spot.
And when MEN Sport asked fans whether they thought Owen had a point with his criticism of Rashford, the majority actually agreed with the striker-turned-pundit.
Over 3,000 fans votes, and almost three quarters said they agreed with Owen and Rashford wasn't a natural goalscorer. The remaining 27% disagreed, backing the United striker's abilities.
