Manchester United fans furious with Paul Pogba decision vs Newcastle United

Manchester United fans are fuming with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's decision to leave Paul Pogba on the substitutes bench for today's clash against Newcastle United in the Premier League.

Pogba made his long awaited return from injury during the defeat against Watford and made an instant impact on the pitch meaning fans had hoped to see the World Cup winner involved from the outset against the Magpies.

Solskjaer wrote in his programme notes his delight at Pogba's cameo: "The one clear positive that came from the game was the return of Paul Pogba. Even though he only had half-an-hour on the pitch, by which point we were two goals down, he showed the difference he can make to our play.

"Almost immediately, the team showed more edge, urgency, and quality in their approach. Paul played some really insightful passes and showed nice combination work with teammates.

"He’s worked very hard to get himself back fit, he’s been desperate to get back playing after a long time on the sidelines and he showed that he can have a real impact on the way we play in the future."

Nevertheless, Solskjaer has opted to leave the midfielder on the bench for a second successive fixture with Andreas Pereira and Mason Greenwood replacing Daniel James and Jesse Lingard in the starting XI.

United fans can't believe that Pogba has been overlooked and let their feelings be known on social media after the team was announced.
