Manchester United fans furious at Cristiano Ronaldo to Man City transfer chance

Manchester City are the frontrunners to sign Cristiano Ronaldo after it has emerged that he is seeking an exit away from Juventus this summer.

The Turin club signed Ronaldo to deliver their much anticipated third Champions League trophy after reaching two finals in the 2010s and being foiled by Barcelona and Real Madrid.

However, the ex- Manchester United great has not fully settled into life in Italy and spent periods of last season starting from the bench after falling out with coach Andrea Pirlo.

It now seems he is favoured to arrive back in Manchester with the blue half, having spent six years as a Red since signing from Sporting Lisbon in 2003.

The revelation has sparked serious fear into the hearts of United fans, who understandably do not want to see one of their club's greatest ever players end up in City colours.

Ronaldo will ease the concerns of a frontman to lead the line for City, who have failed in their pursuit to bring Harry Kane to the Etihad.

However, if the response of United fans on Twitter is anything to go by, Ronaldo would tarnish his relationship with the club he joined as a youngster who allowed him to fulfil the potential to become of football's all-time greats.
