Manchester United fans fume over Mason Greenwood decision vs Arsenal in Premier League

Manchester United fans are furious with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's decision to start Jesse Lingard ahead of Mason Greenwood in the starting XI to face Arsenal in the Premier League.

The youngster has started just two games in the league this season and got on the scoresheet during the 4-1 win against Newcastle at Old Trafford.

Greenwood was an unused substitute during the win against Burnley as Solskjaer aimed to keep his players fresh during the hectic festive period.

However, the 18-year-old remains on the bench against Mikel Arteta's men, with Lingard replacing Andreas Pereira in the starting XI.

As Lingard didn't register a single league goal or assist in the entirety of 2019 and with Greenwood impressing this season, United fans think the youngster should have got the nod.

They took to social media to express their confusion at Solskjaer's team selection.
