Manchester United fans fear the worst after Luke Shaw back three decision vs Liverpool FC

It's safe to say Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's decision to name Luke Shaw in a likely back three against Liverpool has not gone down well among Manchester United fans.

Solskjaer adapted his formation to face the Premier League leaders, who named a formidable front three of Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane. To combat their threat, United have seemingly named a 3-5-2 formation with both Shaw and Brandon Williams starting.

That means one of the two left-backs named will have to play out of position, with Shaw tucking in as part of a back three alongside Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire the most likely.

Explaining why Shaw was picked, Solskjaer told MUTV: "Luke's ready for this definitely. We've had Brandon playing left back, Luke has been ill more than injured so won't have any problems."

However, fans weren't convinced by the decision, feeling Liverpool have enough quality to exploit the unfamiliar tactics Solskjaer has deployed.
