Manchester United fans fear the worst after 'Group of Death' draw in Champions League

Manchester United supporters are not confident of their club's chances in the Champions League after being drawn in the 'Group of Death.'

United are back in Europe's top competition after a year away but have a task on their hands to make it to the knockout phase after the draw was held on Thursday afternoon.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have been handed perhaps the toughest group of the eight, as they were drawn in Group H alongside Paris Saint-Germain, RB Leipzig and Istanbul Basaksehir.

French champions PSG made it to the final of the competition for the first time in their history last season, coming undone at the final hurdle in a 1-0 loss to Bayern Munich.

However, United will take confidence from the fact that the last time the teams met they mounted an historic comeback and knocked the Parisians out of the competition.

Leipzig were also a side who put in their best ever performance in the Champions League last term, reaching the semi-finals, where they were knocked out by PSG.

Basaksehir are debutants in the competition after winning the Turkish championship last season and they boast a host of Premier League veterans including former United defender Rafael da Silva.

United will have to be at their best to advance to the knockout stages and fans are worried that if no new signings are brought in before the transfer window closes then they will be back in the Europa League in the new year.

The Champions League group stages fixtures will be confirmed on Friday and be played from October to December.
