Manchester United fans excited to see new midfield combination vs FC Copenhagen

Manchester United fans are delighted that Fred has been given a chance in the starting XI against FC Copenhagen, and are excited to see him start alongside Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes.

Following their 7-1 aggregate victory over LASK last week, United are into final stages of the Europa League which will be played in a one legged knock-out format in Germany.

The first game of which is tonight's quarter-final tie against Danish side Copenhagen in Cologne, with a spot in the semi-finals against either Wolves or Sevilla awaiting the winner.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has named a largely familiar team for the match but with a few notable changes, one of which being Fred replacing Nemanja Matic as the holding midfielder.

The Brazilian was in brilliant form before football's suspension but has found his playing time limited since the restart, with Solskjaer favouring Matic at the base of midfield.

However, Fred has been given an opportunity from the off against Copenhagen and fans are excited to see him start along side Pogba and Fernandes for the first time.

Manchester United starting XI vs Copenhagen : Romero; Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Maguire, Williams; Fernandes, Fred, Pogba; Greenwood, Martial, Rashford.

Substitutes: De Gea, Lindelof, Mata, Lingard, Pereira, James, Fosu-Mensah, Ighalo, Matic, McTominay, Chong, Mengi.
