Manchester United fans demand new free kick taker after Barcelona performance

It was not an easy first half for Manchester United at Barcelona as Lionel Messi scored a quick brace to take control of the Champions League quarter final.

United had started brightly as they needed to overturn the 1-0 defeat from the first leg, but Messi quickly put Barcelona in control as he scored two goals from outside the area to extend their lead.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side were second best from the moment Messi beat David de Gea for the first time, but were occasionally given the chance to get back in the game from set pieces.

However, with Ashley Young on duty for wide free kicks and corners and Marcus Rashford striking anything within range of the Barcelona goal, those opportunities were not taken.

Rashford has not scored a free kick since Solskjaer's first match in charge at Cardiff in December, while Young's set piece delivery has been inconsistent all season.

And fans wanted to see another player assume free kick taking responsibilities as more chances were wasted at the Nou Camp.
