Manchester United fans are delighted to see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer make a big change to his midfield pairing for the match against Villarreal.
United are back in Champions League action on Wednesday night as they look to finally get some points on the board in Group F after falling to a shock 2-1 defeat to BSC Young Boys last time out.
The defeat in Switzerland started a horrible run for Solskjaer's side in which they have lost three of their last four games, having also been beaten by West Ham United in the Carabao Cup and by Aston Villa in a Premier League fixture.
To arrest the slump of form, Solskjaer has made a big change to his starting XI for the visit of the reigning Europa League champions to Old Trafford.
The Norwegian has broken up his preferred pairing of Fred and Scott McTominay in the base of midfield by dropping the Brazilian and moving Paul Pogba back to a central role.
Fred has been poor so far this season and fans are pleased that he has been dropped to the bench for the game and are happy to see a more adventurous side, with just one defensive-midfielder instead of two.
United starting XI vs Villarreal: De Gea; Dalot, Lindelof, Varane, Telles; McTominay, Pogba; Greenwood, Fernandes, Sancho; Ronaldo.
Substitutes: Heaton, Henderson, Bailly, Fred, Lingard, Mata, Matic, Van de Beek, Cavani, Elanga, Martial.
Villarreal starting XI: Rulli; Foyth, Albiol, Torres, Moreno; Parejo, Capoue, Trigueros; Pino, Alcacer; Groeneveld.
Substitutes: Asenjo, Gaspar, Iborra, Estupinan, Dia, Pena, Mandi, Gomez, Pedraza, Iosifov, Jorgensen.
