Manchester United fans can't understand formation vs Tranmere in FA Cup

Manchester United fans feel Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's decision to play a back five at Tranmere is the wrong tactic against the League One side.

United are limited with who they can play with various injuries to key players, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still named a strong side to face Tranmere in the FA Cup tie.

Sergio Romero replaced David de Gea, with Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire and Phil Jones in a back three. Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw complete the defence, as potential wing-backs as Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood could have been named in a front two.

With Tranmere's problematic pitch at Prenton Park complicating matters further - Solskjaer didn't risk the returning Eric Bailly for example - fans still felt United could have named a more attacking formation against the League One strugglers.
