Paul Scholes's sombre reaction to Cristiano Ronaldo's late equaliser for Manchester United versus Atalanta reflected the mood of much of their fanbase.
In what was again, a below par performance from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side, United twice came from behind in Bergamo to retain their place at the top of Group F heading into their final two group matches.
Scholes, was joined by fellow United legend Rio Ferdinand in the BT Sport studio and their reactions to the equaliser couldn't have more more different — as Ferdinand leapt from his seat while Scholes remained rather despondent in his.
Both however reacted with ''Oh my god!'' as the Portugal captain volleyed home from the edge of the area, as Rio continued: ''This is what he flipping does! Alien!''.
Scholes' reaction however caused quite a stir as the United fan base had mixed opinions on whether or not the two-time Champions League winner really cared about his boyhood rescuing what could turn out to be a crucial point.
One United fan replied to a comment on the video claiming Scholes 'doesn't care' by stating: ''Think he just knows they should be doing way better and is disappointed''
Another disgruntled fan wrote: ''I loves Scholes reaction versus @rioferdy5....says it all really.''
United fans were in a better mood last weekend after their side beat Tottenham 3-0, but after another lacklustre performance from Solskjaer's men, it begs the question of why rather then when will the performances return on a week basis.
For club legend Scholes, it seems like even a point last night late on in dramatic circumstances failed to get his heart-rate racing while watching this current United side.
Their next test is of course the mouth-watering Manchester derby on Saturday lunchtime with both sides looking to close the gap at the top, with City keen to avenge last weekends defeat at home to Crystal Palace.
