Manchester United fans ask VAR question after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang goal for Arsenal

Manchester United fans feel VAR should have been used more consistently against Arsenal after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's equaliser in the Premier League.

Aubameyang levelled for Arsenal after Scott McTominay had put United ahead before the break. Aubameyang's strike was initially ruled out for offside, but a VAR review showed that Harry Maguire was clearly playing the striker onside and the goal was given.

Fans had no complaints about that particular decision, but felt that VAR should have been consulted for an incident a few minutes before when a cross appeared to hit Sead Kolasinac on the arm.

Referee Kevin Friend turned down appeals from United players for a spot kick, with VAR seemingly agreeing that Kolasinac had done enough to move his arm out of the way and into his body.

But supporters felt that they should have been awarded a penalty, just as Arsenal saw their own obvious error rectified.
