Manchester United fans ask predictable question after Liverpool FC plane stunt

Hated, adored, never ignored.

Liverpool lifted the biggest prize in club football last month but Manchester United are never far from their fans' thoughts, and that proved to be the case as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his players prepared for an open training session in Australia on Thursday.

As United's players got ready for another intense workout Down Under ahead of Saturday's tour opener against Perth Glory, an aircraft carrying a banner that read 'LIVERPOOL FC - 6 X EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS' flew over the WACA.

It is not clear who commissioned the banner but the act was another indication of United's relevance, regardless of their poor on-field showings in recent years.

Liverpool may have won the Champions League in June - their first major trophy in seven years - but they are yet to get their hands on the trophy they covet most: the Premier League.

And United's supporters were quick to remind them of that fact on the back of the plane stunt.

We all know the answer to this question.

Twenty-seven years, no Premier League titles.

It's no wonder nobody wanted them to win the league last year.

All about United.

Obsessed.

There's a trophy missing from their cabinet.
