Manchester United fans are saying the same thing about Liverpool and Arsenal

It has been a good week for Manchester United.

And the Red Devils' fans are revelling in it.

United ran riot against Southampton on Tuesday night, smashing the Saints 9-0 after their visitors were reduced to nine men.

Saints debutant Alex Jankewitz was sent off just two minutes into his debut, handing Man United the advantage from the off.

And they capitalised to run into a 4-0 lead at the break, adding two more after half-time before Jan Bednarek was also sent off.

United added a further three goals to make it two 9-0 defeats for Southampton in the last two seasons.

That left United to sit back and watch how their rivals at the top of the table got on.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men had already seen Arsenal slip up, the Gunners themselves going down to nine men and losing 2-1 at Wolves earlier on Tuesday night.

But there was better still to come.

Manchester City may have beaten Burnley 2-0 on Wednesday night, but later on that evening Liverpool were in action and they slipped to their second straight home defeat, losing 1-0 against lowly Brighton.

And the United fans loved every minute of it.

Not only did those results go their way, with one of Tottenham and Chelsea set to drop points on Thursday night when the play each other at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, United loanee Jesse Lingard had a debut to remember for West Ham.

Lingard notched two goals in a 3-1 win over Aston Villa.

It really has been a week to remember for United supporters.
