Chelsea and Manchester United goalkeepers Kepa Arrizabalaga and David De Gea are in a battle to establish themselves as the first choice goalkeeper for the Spanish national side.
De Gea has had the shirt over the recent years, but Kepa has put in a strong challenge to overtake his Premier League rival by being named in goal for five of the last six international games, the most recent coming in Saturday's European qualifier against Denmark.
However, a mistake in the dying moments of the game by the Chelsea man cost Spain all three points, with Norway scoring from the spot to make it 1-1.
In the 92nd minute of the game, Kepa came flying out of his goal to make a challenge on Omar Elabdellaoui, but the goalkeeper completely missed the ball and gave referee Michael Oliver no choice but to point to the spot.
And Bournemouth man Josh King had no trouble in finding a way past the Spanish goalkeeper to draw the scores level and ensure that Denmark took a dramatic point from the match.
The incident sparked debate on social media between Manchester United and Chelsea fans as to who should be Spain's first choice in between the sticks, with Red Devils' fans arguing that their man would do a much better job.
De Gea's last match for Spain was the European qualifier against the Faroe islands in September.
