Manchester United fans are all saying the same thing about Old Trafford award

Manchester United's groundskeeping team were awarded with the Premier League Grounds Team of the Season for the condition of the Old Trafford pitch throughout the 2018/19 campaign.

The team, headed by Tony Sinclair, were recognised by the Premier League for providing the best surface for United's first team throughout the season.

But United supporters felt their team's offering this season has been undeserving of the high-quality pitch that United's groundskeeping staff have maintained.

The Reds finished the season in sixth position in the Premier League, five points adrift of the top four, and will play in the Europa League next season for the third time since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement in May 2013.

Jose Mourinho was sacked on December 18 after overseeing the club's worst start to a league season in 28 years.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replaced the Portuguese but, despite winning his first eight games, could not prevent a slump in form that saw United register just two wins in 10 games at the end of the campaign.

Manchester United have two secret weapons in Jadon Sancho transfer chase

And United supporters continue to vent about a dismaying campaign.

'The least amount of running on it'

Little wear and tear

'The best thing we have seen on our pitch'

'They hardly had any work to do'

'You'll never sing that'

'At least some lads did their jobs right'

'For years'
