Manchester United fans feel the signing of Daniel James will be a coup should the Reds finalise a deal for the winger.
United are understood to have agreed personal terms with James after beating off competition from Brighton, who appointed Graham Potter, James' former Swansea manager, on Monday.
James, 21, has caught the eye this season with a string of impressive performances in the Championship and fits the profile of player around whom United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to rebuild his first-team squad.
United finished sixth in the Premier League last season and face a fourth Europa League campaign in nine seasons in Solskjaer's first full campaign in charge.
James, who was on the verge of a move to Leeds in January, is reported to be in line for a £15 million move to Old Trafford and United supporters on Twitter feel the potential move would represent an astute piece of business.
