Manchester United fans all say the same thing about Paul Pogba after Chelsea stalemate

Manchester United fans were left frustrated after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side drew 0-0 with Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday.

United slipped 12 points behind Manchester City at the top of the table following their second successive stalemate against Chelsea.

Blues goalkeeper Edouard Mendy made saves from Scott McTominay and Bruno Fernandes, while Fred went close with a long-range effort, but United struggled to create much at Stamford Bridge.

They had appeals for a penalty following a handball by Callum Hudson-Odoi waved away and David de Gea had to keep out a decent attempt by Hakim Ziyech.

United extended their unbeaten away record to 20 league matches, but the front three of Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Daniel James failed to test Chelsea’s defence.

The draw means Solskjaer’s side have now failed to score a single goal in their last six league meetings with Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham, while each of their last four such matches have finished goalless.

United fans were not happy with what they saw from their side, with many believing that Paul Pogba would have made a big difference.

The French midfielder has been out with a thigh injury since the 3-3 draw against Everton on February 6, meaning he has missed the last six games in all competitions.

Without Pogba, Solskjaer played a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Fernandes supporting the front three and Fred and McTominay behind him.

United managed four shots on target at Stamford Bridge, but the return to fitness of Pogba and Edinson Cavani will be welcomed by Solskjaer and the fans.

The Reds face Crystal Palace on Wednesday before a third successive away game against City in the Manchester derby on Sunday.
