Manchester United fans agree with Paul Pogba red card in Liverpool hammering

Things have gone from bad to worse to disaster to an absolute train wreck for Manchester United as Paul Pogba has been sent off against Liverpool.

United supporters have no complaints about the decision, either, after watching their team get completely dismantled by their fierce rivals.

There were hopes prior to the match that United would be able to reignite their season following the uplifting comeback against Atalanta on Wednesday, but those have been dashed completely at Old Trafford on Sunday.

A calamitous first-half display saw United go behind after just five minutes with Naby Keita slotting home the opener after some hopeless defending.

It got worse from there as Diogo Jota and a Mohamed Salah double saw United go in at the break amid a torrent of boos from enraged supporters.

Pogba was introduced at the break in a desperate gambit from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but it did no good as he lost the ball after just four minutes to allow Jorden Henderson to play through Salah for his hat-trick.

Pogba's awful cameo lasted just 15 minutes as he was shown a straight red card on the hour mark for a terrible double footed, studs showing challenge on Keita, which saw the midfielder stretchered off the field.

Fans have criticised Pogba for the challenge and agree with the referee's decision.

On commentary, Gary Neville admitted that the pressure is now growing on Solskjaer, even though he thinks he will stay in charge.

" I don't think they'll change things after today, but it brings massive pressure. United's fixtures have been as simple as they come, but this is the first super team they've played and they're being pulled about like you wouldn't believe.

"They need to somehow re-group and figure out what he's [Solskjaer] going to say. I think there's a mentality issue, they're training every day and it doesn't come overnight."
