Manchester United fans agree with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Paul Pogba decision against Leeds United

Manchester United fans have largely backed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's decision to leave out Paul Pogba and Edinson Cavani against Leeds United.

With a Europa League semi-final against AS Roma looming on Thursday, Solskjaer has made one change to the starting XI that beat Burnley 3-1 at Old Trafford last weekend.

Daniel James comes into the starting team in place of Pogba, who drops to the substitutes bench, while Cavani remains out of the side despite scoring against Burnley in the closing stages.

In the reverse fixture at Old Trafford, which United won 6-2, James put in one of his best displays in a Manchester United shirt, exploiting space left by Leeds' expansive style to maximum effect.

Given the opposition and with a massive match to come against Roma, United fans have backed Solskjaer's selection, though some were disappointed to see an in-form Pogba miss out.

Speaking about his decision to leave Pogba out for James, Solskjaer told MUTV: "You have to think about this game but also the run of games we're facing.

"Dan did really well against Leeds at home. His high energy, his one-against-one, his defending, everything about him suits this game.

"Leeds have shown their quality this season and they're going to stretch us. We have to be ready for this game, both physically and mentally."
