Manchester United fans agree on what should happen to David de Gea after shocking error vs Chelsea

Manchester United fans have demanded that David de Gea is dropped for Dean Henderson next season after his two errors in the FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea.

De Gea's form has nosedived in recent months with a number of key mistakes creeping into his game.

With Henderson impressing during a two-year loan spell at Sheffield United, De Gea's position as United's first-choice goalkeeper was already under threat.

The Spaniard did not help his cause at Wembley, allowing Olivier Giroud's shot to beat him on the stroke of half-time. Although he saw the shot late, he will be disappointed not to have prevented it from crossing the line.

There could be no excuses about the second goal with the United number one letting a Mason Mount shot go underneath his body as Chelsea doubled their lead and gave United a mountain to climb.

United fans have said enough is enough and believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must make a tough decision for next season. They have demanded De Gea be dropped and replaced with Henderson.

Earlier this week, De Gea said he hopes to remain at Old Trafford for many years.

He told ManUtd.com: "I’m very, very proud to reach 400 games. It’s something amazing just to be part of this club. It’s something crazy… imagine to reach 400 games… it’s something very, very special for me and hopefully I can play another 400 games and just enjoy things day by day and enjoy being part of this club.

"I just want to keep playing and enjoying training and enjoying being with my team-mates and the staff and everyone. I just enjoy wearing the Manchester United shirt in every game and to play at Old Trafford is always special.

“I’m grateful to be here and hopefully I can be here for many years."
