Manchester United fan's brutal squad transfer tweet goes viral

There has been a recent change in mood amongst Manchester United fans after a recent slump in form.

Despite a superb start under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the club are facing another trophyless season and have been abject in recent performances as their dreams of a top-four finish begin to faulter.

Solskjaer might be at the wheel, but it remains to be seen which direction he is driving in.

United have a massive summer ahead as they look to rebuild their squad and launch a serious Premier League title challenge, and supporters are expecting a massive overhaul.

However, one fan has taken things to a whole new level with their own scathing verdict on the current first-team squad.

A tweet from '_UtdJL' has gone viral after he ruthlessly evaluated the current quality within the United team. The Twitter user uploaded a graphic of the squad which has been broken down into separate sections.

The tier system begins with the 'Untouchable' section which features David de Gea all by himself. Next up is 'World Class', a tier which features just Paul Pogba.

Victor Lindelof, Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw and Anthony Martial are on the third tier, which has been labeled 'Class'.

Next up is 'Squad Player' which features Fred, Sergio Romero, Jesse Lingard, Andreas Pereira, Scott McTominay and Eric Bailly.

Tahith Chong, Mason Greenwood, Angel Gomes and Diogo Dalot are all in the category 'Good Potential' before the tier system really begins to get controversial.

Under the section 'Need Selling and Replacing' is Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic, Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez, Marcos Rojo, Matteo Darmian, Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia.

There is a separate category for Chris Smalling and Phil Jones who both come under 'Just Need to Leave at Any Cost', while Ashley Young is in the lowest tier in a category which shares his name.

Ouch.
