Manchester United fan kicked out of Old Trafford for alleged racist abuse of Liverpool player

A Manchester United fan was kicked out of Old Trafford during Sunday's match against Liverpool due to allegations of racist abuse against a player.

According to reports, the abuse was aimed at Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold, although the club could not confirm this.

Police have been informed and an investigation has been launched, a Manchester United spokesman said.

Club bosses take allegations of racism seriously, and an investigation has been launched 'as a matter of priority', they added.

The individual was swiftly identified and ejected as soon as the incident was reported to staff.

A Manchester United spokesman said: “We are aware of an incident at yesterday’s game where an individual in the home section has allegedly engaged in racial abuse.

“The individual was identified and ejected from the stadium. We are currently investigating the matter as a priority.

“Racism and all forms of discrimination are completely unacceptable and do not reflect the values of our club.”
