Manchester United fan Eamonn Holmes' Spygate pop at Kalvin Phillips

It's fair to say Spygate will live long in the memory of football fans - another controversy now associated with Leeds United.

Saying that, plenty of good humoured jibes have often accompanied the serious criticism of the whites and their spying antics of last season.

And one man - a rather famous Manchester United fan - who took his opportunity to have a light-hearted pop at Leeds, was TV personality and presenter Eamonn Holmes.

The Irishman features in episode four of Leeds United's new documentary title Take Us Home, currently streaming on Amazon, when midfielder Kalvin Phillips is a guest on his show Do The Right Thing on Channel 5.

'Is there anybody watching, you know?'

This was back in February, and at the time the cameras joined them backstage for the moment Eamonn met Kalvin and his family for the first time.

"Kalvin [wearing a cap], great seeing you. I didn't recognise you without your hair", Eamonn said.

"Very good seeing you my friend, very good seeing you."

Then, Kalvin's mum asks Eamonn if he's come wearing his Manchester United coat.

"I have. Look at that [showing the badge to the camera]. Will that burn a hole in the lens?"

The football jibes don't stop there, and Eamonn soon moves onto Spyagte...

"Can I say, are we being spied on or are we okay? Is there anybody watching, you know?

'Is there anybody up in the rafters?'

Nice one Eamonn. This was of course just weeks after the Spygate saga first erupted, so you can see why the TV man took the chance! Fair enough!
