Manchester United 'facing competition for Kyle Walker-Peters' and more transfer rumours

Manchester United are one of three Premier League clubs said to be interested in Kyle Walker-Peters this month.

The Southampton defender has reportedly been eyed as a potential replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with the 25-year-old's future at the club still up in the air.

According to reports via talkSPORT, Walker-Peters has stalled any attempts to negotiate a new deal at St. Mary's and could now be allowed to leave the club.

Tottenham and Chelsea are also said to be interested in the full-back, with Reece James' ongoing injury problems perhaps prompting Chelsea's interest. Walker-Peters is under contract with Saints until the summer of 2025.

Elsewhere, Facundo Pellistri could be allowed the leave the club on loan this month, after finally making his debut against Charlton on Tuesday evening. The Uruguay international smartly set up Marcus Rashford's first of two strikes against the Addicks, as United booked their spot in the last four of the Carabao Cup.

According to The Athletic, Watford and Valencia are just two clubs who could take the 21-year-old on a temporary basis, with Ten Hag keen for the forward to continue his development.

Pellistri made his debut for United nearly two-and-a-half years after signing for the club and Ten Hag praised him after the win over Charlton: “I see a future in him. He’s doing really well and we have to see what is the best. You see he is progressing.”
