Martial reveals all on working relationship with Rashford
Manchester United's Anthony Martial believes that his relationship with Marcus Rashford allows the two to improve on the pitch.
The French striker has become the first-choice centre forward at Old Trafford under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with Rashford playing off the left.
And, after several seasons in the same team, Martial thinks that they have developed a good connection on the pitch to get the best out of each other.
He told the club’s official website: “With Marcus, I think that we’ve been playing together for five seasons now and so, yes, we have that good understanding. It’s a real positive for us that we have this great connection.
“For example, there are some games where maybe a shot is on and then I decide to wait and see, and I give him the ball because I want him to score. And he does the same thing for me, so you see, we’re not just focused on scoring all the time. We’re always going to do everything we can for the team to win which means that, if he is better placed than me or I’m in a better position than him, we’ll always give each other the ball in order to score.
“There is healthy competition, but the biggest thing is the positive rapport that we have with one another.”
United goalkeeper on the brink of loan move
Young United shot-stopper Matej Kovar is believed to be close to a loan move away from the club this summer.
The 20-year-old enjoyed success with the under-23s last season and MEN Sport understands that two Football League sides are pushing for a loan deal.
Swindon Town are understood to be the most likely suitors for the Czech goalkeeper who could depart within a matter of days.
Given the competition in the first team with David de Gea and Dean Henderson, the 20-year-old could perhaps benefit more from guaranteed minutes lower down the football pyramid.
Norwegian wonderkid announces United transfer
Isak Hansen-Aaroen has confirmed that he is set to join United in the current transfer window.
The teenager turned 16 on Saturday which allows the Reds to sign the youngster after already filling up their initial intake of first-year academy scholars.
Despite no official confirmation of a move yet, the 16-year-old shared an image of himself playing on his Instagram story alongside the United club badge.
He became the youngest-ever player for Tromso earlier this year and it remains only a matter of time before United officially confirm his arrival as a done deal.
