Manchester United evening headlines as Dortmund chief raises Sancho concerns

Good evening, Manchester United fans. Here are your evening headlines for Monday, November 9.

Dortmund chief voices concern over Sancho

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has expressed concern over the recent performances of Jadon Sancho.

The 20-year-old winger was a priority target for Manchester United throughout the summer transfer window but remained with the Bundesliga club as the Reds were unwilling to pay BVB's £108million asking price.

However, Sancho's form so far this season has not matched expectations.

“He has had better and more efficient games,” Zorc told German media outlet Ruhr Nachrichten after BVB were beaten by Bayern Munich this weekend.

"He's lacking a bit of natural lightness at the moment. Of course, we speak to him, but it's not something you can rediscover just by talking."

United could loan out three players in January

Manchester United could send Ethan Galbraith, Arnau Puigmal, and Ethan Laird out on loan in January.

The youngsters were all considered for temporary moves away in the summer, but injuries meant they remained with the Reds.

Laird and Puigmal had 'minor knocks' while Galbraith was out in September and October.

But all the trio, who have had spells training with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first team, will be considered for moves when the transfer window reopens in January.

Lindelof unavailable for Sweden friendly

Victor Lindelof will not play in Sweden’s upcoming friendly against Denmark because of quarantine restrictions.

The Manchester United defender will instead join up with his national team ahead of the Nations League fixtures against Croatia and France.

“Players like Marcus Berg, Kristoffer Olsson, Emil Forsberg and Victor Lindelöf have had an almost brutal fixture list towards the end.

"We have to be very careful and responsive about those players when we gather together,” said Sweden manager Janne Andersson.

Sweden will call-up substitute players to take the place of Lindelof, as well as Robin Olsen, Emil Krafth, Filip Helander and Ken Sema.
