Manchester United pair Cristiano Ronaldo and Mason Greenwood have both been nominated for the Premier League Goal of the Month for October.
October was a difficult month in the league for United as they drew with Everton and suffered heavy defeats against Leicester City and Liverpool before finally registering a victory against Tottenham on Saturday.
Yet, they still managed to score six goals in those four games and two of them have been deemed good enough to be in the race for Goal of the Month.
Greenwood's ridiculous opener against the Foxes, in which he cut in from the right and fired a thunderous effort into the goal from 24 yards, has earned him a nomination.
Ronaldo is also in the running with the excellent volley he scored from Bruno Fernandes' cross to set the 3-0 win over Spurs in motion last week.
Both face some stiff competition in winning the award, however, especially in the form of Mohamed Salah who has two goals, both of which were spectacular solo efforts, on the shortlist.
Leicester midfielder Youri Tielemans' also has two nominations, including his brilliant lob against United, as well as further strikes from Callum Wilson and Che Adams.
