Manchester United drawn against Colchester United in Carabao Cup quarter-final

Manchester United have been drawn at home to Colchester United in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.

United and rivals Man City both drew lower league sides in the draw , which was done by former City and Liverpool goalkeeper David James live on BBC Radio 2, with City travelling to Oxford United.

The games will be played in the week commencing December 16th, most likely on the Tuesday (17th) or Wednesday (18th) evenings, with broadcaster Sky Sports to choose which games it wants to screen live.

United booked their place in the last eight with a 2-1 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge thanks to Marcus Rashford's brace, while the fourth round saw a number of entertaining games unfold. Liverpool beat Arsenal on penalties after a thrilling 5-5 draw at Anfield, Aston Villa triumphed in a west midlands derby over Wolves while minnows Oxford and Colchester did enough to get through.

United's rivals Liverpool were drawn away at Aston Villa, while Leicester will face Everton at Goodison Park.

Colchester are the lowest ranked side left in the competition and the only team from League Two, though they dumped Tottenham out on penalties in a third round shock, before overcoming Crawley in the fourth round.

Here's the draw in full:

Aston Villa v Liverpool

Everton v Leicester

Oxford v Man City
