Twelve Manchester United players and staff were reportedly struck with food poisoning after returning from their 2-0 victory over Sheriff Tiraspol in Moldova ‘feeling unwell’, according to The Sun.
The Red Devils were due to face Leeds United at Old Trafford on Sunday but it was postponed after concerns over a lack of police resources due to Her Majesty The Queen’s funeral less than 24 hours later.
It is unclear how badly affected their squad would’ve been, although a number of players are said to have missed training on Friday and Saturday.

Leeds last won at Old Trafford in the league in February 1981, while their last win in all competitions came in the FA Cup in January 2010.
The postponements of Leeds’ games against Nottingham Forest and Man United respectively will mean that Leeds will go almost an entire month without playing in the Premier League.
Leeds will face eight league matches between the end of the international break and the beginning of this winter’s World Cup finals in Qatar.
