Manchester United disappointment revealed by Leeds Festival headliner

South London rapper Dave put in one of the performances of the weekend when he headlined the Radio 1 stage at Leeds Festival on Saturday night.

'Psychodrama' is one of the best albums in recent times, and fans were so keen to see the rapper at Bramham Park that some were climbing up the poles on the side of the tent.

Dave is a big football fan, you may have heard of his song named after a popular Brazil defender.

When playing in a city not known for its love for the Manchester side, the Londoner couldn't resist mentioning football.

He said: "I don't know if you know Leeds, but I'm a Manchester United fan"

The crowd then gave Dave a light-hearted boo, no doubt a result of Leeds United's vicious rivalry with the Red Devils.

Manchester United suffered a humiliating 2-1 defeat at home to Crystal Palace on the same day, and the talented rapper brought up the Premier League loss during his set.

"We lost to Crystal Palace, but we won't talk about that today." he said.

"You know what I'm saying, Crystal Palace is a local team, so we'll put that one to the side."

With the way Marcelo Bielsa's side are playing, maybe Dave's side will be playing on West Yorkshire again before long.
