Phil Jones says there is a new buzz around the Manchester United dressing room following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's appointment as first-team manager.
Solskjaer was unveiled as the new manager of United on Thursday and marked his first official match in charge with a scrappy 2-1 win over Watford on Saturday.
Jones played the entire match as United secured another vital victory in their pursuit of a top-four finish in the Premier League, and speaking after the win the defender revealed the squad's reaction to the managerial appointment.
"Yeah, great. The lads are buzzing. He's come in, he's been a breath of fresh air for us," Jones said.
"He's put the arms around the shoulders of people who needed it.
"His man management skills are terrific and he's definitely what we need going forward."
Victory for United over the weekend means they have now secured 35 points since Solskjaer took over in December of last year, the most out of any team in the top-flight during that time period.

It remains to be seen if United will even secure Champions League qualification under the Norwegian this season, but Jones believes the foundations are already in place for a successful season next year.
The English defender continued: "I don't think we're far away. I think obviously we had a poor start to the season.
"It's sort of like a story of two halves of the season, really.
"He's come in and done a terrific job. I'm delighted he's here now and we can move forward and progress under him."
