Manchester United dealt major injury blow ahead of Arsenal clash as squad revealed

Manchester United could be without Nemanja Matic, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw for the game against Arsenal tonight.

The Red Devils have struggled in recent times, winning just one of their last eight Premier League outings, with former head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer losing his job last month following a 4-1 loss to Watford.

German manager Ralf Rangnick has since been installed as interim boss until the end of the season but work permit issues mean that Michael Carrick will lead out United against the Gunners, who have been in fine form recently.

Mikel Arteta 's side have lost just one of their last 12 fixtures across all competitions and will be looking to increase their five-point lead on their opponents, who have struggled with a number of injuries in recent times.

Raphael Varane, Paul Pogba and Edinson Cavani will all miss the highly-anticipated clash whilst doubts remain over the aforementioned Matic, Wan-Bissaka and Shaw.

Wan-Bissaka and Matic both played the full 90 minutes during Sunday's 1-1 draw against Chelsea but neither player was seen by photographers arriving at the Hyatt Hotel alongside the rest of the United squad on Thursday afternoon.

Shaw also wasn't spotted, suggesting that they may not be involved against Arsenal, however, it is possible that all three made their own way to the hotel and may still be fully fit and available.

The English international has missed United's last two outings after sustaining a head injury against Watford last month.
