Manchester United consider Anthony Martial summer sale and more transfer rumours

Manchester United are considering the possibility of Anthony Martial leaving the club in the summer transfer window - according to reports.

Martial was United's top goalscorer across all competitions last season as he enjoyed the most prolific campaign of his career to date.

The Frenchman has struggled for form during the current campaign and drew criticism from United supporters following a costly miss against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has publicly backed the forward to rediscover his form in front of goal but Eurosport claim the Reds are weighing up how to shape their forward line over the coming year.

The report claims United sources believe there is a growing possibility that Martial will leave the club in the summer window.

United have been linked with moves for Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland and Juventus ace Paulo Dybala in recent weeks.

It's worth taking this report with a pinch of salt given Solskjaer has backed Martial on multiple occasions and there is no indication United would authorise his sale.

Elsewhere, United will demand £50million for Paul Pogba in the January transfer window, reports claim.

Pogba's agent Mino Raiola dropped a bombshell on the eve of United's game against RB Leipzig stating his client was unhappy at the club and urged United to allow the World Cup winner to leave.

United triggered the one-year extension clause in Pogba's contract earlier in the year meaning he will have just 12 months remaining on his current deal in the summer.

The Sun believe the Reds would be willing to accept £50m for the midfielder in January which can be spent on a new signing.

Juventus and Real Madrid remain the favourites to secure his services.
