Manchester United confident of dealing blow to Chelsea and Tottenham with £190m double transfer

Manchester United reportedly remain confident of signing Harry Kane and West Ham midfielder Declan Rice this summer, regardless of whether they qualify for the Champions League.

Any success with the moves would hand a serious blow to Tottenham who fought hard to keep Kane from Manchester City's grasps last summer and also to Chelsea who are admirers of Rice.

Chelsea seem set to finish third in the Premier League this season with four points and a game in hand between themselves and United.

Spurs, on the other hand, are locked in a fierce battle for that final place in next season's competition alongside the Red Devils, West Ham, Arsenal and Wolves.

As is the case with modern football, however, attentions will have already turned to the next transfer window.

After clinging on to Kane, currently valued at £90million by Transfermarkt, Spurs will have hoped that the appointment of Antonio Conte and the planned return of silverware as a result would be enough to keep the 28-year-old at the club.

But even the Italian has struggled to bring consistency to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, once again leading to speculation that Kane's future could lie elsewhere.

Chelsea are eyeing a move for West Ham midfielder Rice, valued at £100million by the Hammers, with the midfielder continuing to impress under David Moyes' stewardship in east London, but United are eager to deal all three London sides a serious blow.

As reported by ESPN, United remain confident of completing an audacious double deal for the duo, even if they fail to qualify for next season's Champions League.
