Manchester United complete signing of Jack Kingdon

Manchester United have completed the signing of 15-year-old centre-back Jack Kingdon from Morecambe.

The youngster announced his arrival at Old Trafford on his own social media accounts after impressing the United scouts while playing for the League Two club's academy sides.

Kingdon has played Under-18s football for Morecambe, though MEN Sport understands he will initially join up with united's Under-16s side.

Kingdon wrote on Twitter: "I’m very honoured and proud to be a part of this special club Man United."

The deal continues United's prolific recruitment at youth level in recent months. In the summer they secured deals for Alvaro Fernandez, Marc Jurado, Joe Hugill, Isak Hansen-Aaroen, Charlie McNeill, Willy Kambwala, Radek Vitek and Alejandro Garnacho. They have all joined up with United's teams between Under-16 and Under-23 level.

Kingdon is a fast centre-back who has shown huge promise in action for Morecambe and will be another one to watch in the United academy.
