Manchester United can equal two more Sir Alex Ferguson scoring records under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

The long wait is finally over for Manchester United fans.

Not only are United back in competitive action this weekend when they face Watford in the Premier League, but supporters now know Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is officially at the wheel.

The Norwegian coach will be looking to mark his first official match as permanent manager with a win, and what's more he could also equal two scoring records last achieved under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Since Solskjaer returned to Old Trafford late last year the club's fortunes have changed dramatically and United have rediscovered their scoring swagger in front of goal.

In fact, the scoring streak has been so good that United are now on the verge of having three players with at least ten Premier League goals each for the first time since the 2012-13 season.

Six years ago Javier Hernandez, Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie all reached the landmark in the league and it seems only a matter of time before Solskjaer matches that feat.

Manchester United players Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial arrive for training ahead of Watford fixture

Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku have both already achieved the accolade this season, and with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial both on nine goals the record could even be matched against Watford on Saturday afternoon.

However, United could yet go one better and equal an even older record if both Rashford and Martial do score another league goal before the end of the season.

Doing so would then see United have four players with at least ten goals in the league this season, a record they haven't achieved since 1995-96 when Paul Scholes, Andy Cole, Ryan Giggs and Eric Cantona managed to do so.
