Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer compared to Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's post-match rant after Manchester United's victory over Everton has drawn comparisons with legendary managers Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger.

The United boss launched a furious tirade at the Premier League for the way his side's fixtures had been configured, with a clash against Everton arranged for Saturday lunchtime after a Wednesday night trip back from Turkey in the Champions League.

“Our boys were set up to fail today with the scheduling," said Solskjaer after United secured a 3-1 win at Goodison Park.

“How can you expect players to perform with the 12.30 kick-off time? It’s an absolute joke."

Solskjaer went on to say he's "had enough" of the allegedly unfair scheduling, prompting pundit Gabriel Agbonlahor to compare him, unfavourably, with the kind of rants Mourinho and Arsenal legend Wenger used to deliver.

The former Aston Villa striker told Solskjaer to "get on with it" and rotate his side to deal with the hectic schedule.

Agbonlahor told talkSPORT: “He’s starting to sound a bit like old-school Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger who used to moan about every little thing.

“You won the game, yes you got a couple of injuries, but get on with it. You’ve got two weeks for the international break where you can get certain players some sort of rest but just get on with it.

“You chose to be in the Champions League, don’t moan that you have got to go and play in the Champions League in Turkey now.

“Just get on with it. You’ve got a big squad, that’s why you get to register 25 players for the Premier League season so use them.”
