Manchester United booed off at half-time against Liverpool with Premier League title hopes in danger

There was a chorus of boos heard at Old Trafford at half-time in Manchester United's game against Liverpool.

United conceded after five minutes against their fierce rivals but that was only the start as the visitors seized the initiative.

Diogo Jota doubled Liverpool's lead shortly after that goal and United looked pedestrian, tepid and lifeless on the pitch.

Mohamed Salah then made it 3-0 after more awful defending from United and he scored yet another on the stroke of halftime.

The pressure was building on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer before this game and, after seeing their side deliver a frankly embarrassing performance across the first 45 minutes, fans delivered a chorus of boos as the players went down the tunnel at the break.

United supporters will feel that conceding four goals - just in the first half - against Liverpool is simply unforgivable.
