Ander Herrera will rake in more than £300,000 a week at Paris Saint-Germain.
The Manchester United midfielder will move to Ligue 1 this summer after his Old Trafford contract runs down.
He had been offered a new deal at United but they refused to get anywhere near the jaw-dropping terms he will earn in France.
Fans of the Premier League giants had questioned why Herrera was being allowed to leave, reports the Mirror.
But his proposed salary in Paris had yet to be revealed.
United were stung over the Alexis Sanchez deal that has seen the Chilean amass £500,000 a week for the past 18 months.
The club feared Herrera, 29, could also become a financial burden due to his advancing years.
Also, the Spaniard is not a regular starter and so United believed it to be better if he left on a free.
