Manchester United asked for Everton game to be rescheduled over squad concerns

Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has hit out at the scheduling of Manchester United's game with Everton on Saturday - and revealed they asked for the game to be rescheduled.

The Blues welcome United to Goodison on Saturday at 12:30pm and Solksjaer says that given his side play in Turkey tonight, against Istanbul Basaksehir in the Champions League, it could have an impact on his team selection for the weekend's game.

BT Sport have picked the game for live broadcast and Solksjaer has hit at the Premier League for not helping them get the fixture put back, at least, 24 hours.

“It might have an impact on the team selection and subs we make depending on the game of course," Solksjaer said.

“12.30pm on a Saturday doesn’t help us but that’s what the Champions League gives to you.

“It gives you a challenge because you want to be in this competition playing in midweek and we’ve just got to take it as it comes.

“We asked for a Sunday game but there was absolutely no help to get that.”
