Manchester United have appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their permanent manager, it's been confirmed this morning.
The ex-Cardiff City boss has signed a three-year deal with the Old Trafford giants after being drafted in as caretaker manager in December following Jose Mourinho's departure.
After impressing during his interim stint, Manchester United announced he had got the permanent job on Thursday.
Solskjaer spent 11 seasons at Old Trafford as a player, scoring the winning goal in the 1999 Champions League final.
He will now be at the helm when Man Utd head to Cardiff this summer for a glamour clash with AC Milan at the Principality Stadium.
"From the first day I arrived, I felt at home at this special club," said Solskjær.
"It was an honour to be a Manchester United player, and then to start my coaching career here. The last few months have been a fantastic experience and I want to thank all of the coaches, players and staff for the work we’ve done so far.
"This is the job that I always dreamed of doing and I’m beyond excited to have the chance to lead the club long-term and hopefully deliver the continued success that our amazing fans deserve."

Ed Woodward, executive vice chairman, added: "Since coming in as caretaker manager in December, the results Ole has delivered speak for themselves.
