Manchester United announce which kit they will wear in Premier League fixture against Wolves

Manchester United have confirmed that they will wear their brand new 2021/22 away strip for the first time when they face Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on Sunday afternoon.

After beating Leeds United 5-1 at Old Trafford on the opening day of the season, United participated in their first away game of the season on Sunday, playing out a 1-1 draw against Southampton at St Mary's.

However, United donned their new third kit, which is a striking blue and yellow design, meaning the official away strip is yet to have its first outing.

Nevertheless, United have confirmed that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's players will be wearing it for the first time when they face Wolves this forthcoming weekend, meaning they will be looking to maintain their excellent unbeaten run away from home and secure their first away win of the season on the new strip's first outing.

Inspired by the 'snowflake' kit of 1990-92, the grey away kit has proven to be immensely popular with the supporters since its launch.

It was worn by United's Under-23s during a pre-season friendly against Kidderminster Harriers earlier this month, but the first-team have yet to model it, meaning Sunday's clash with Bruno Lage's side will see the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Mason Greenwood sport it for the first time.

As well as that, new signings Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane may get the chance to wear it from the off if Solskjaer deems them fit enough to earn their first starts in United colours since their moves from Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid, respectively.
