Manchester United youngster Ethan Galbraith has signed a new contract that keeps him at the club until June 2023.
The 19-year-old midfielder has put pen to paper on a fresh three-year deal, with the option for an additional year, after a number of impressive performances for the club's Under-23s.
Galbraith, who is now a Northern Ireland international, is now one of the more senior players in Neil Wood's Under-23 outfit. He scored the winner in United's first league win since promotion, a 2-1 victory over Everton at Leigh Sports Village last week.
The midfielder has made just one senior appearance for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side, which came in the 2-1 Europa League defeat to Astana in Kazakhstan last year when he partnered fellow debutant Dylan Levitt in midfield. He also started United's only pre-season friendly this year, a 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa in which he featured alongside Donny van de Beek in the centre of the park and has trained regularly with the first team squad.
Galbraith is highly rated by United's youth coaches and, although he did not head out on loan in the summer, could well seek a temporary move in the January transfer window or next summer.
Levitt and James Garner headed out on loan in the summer, to Charlton and Watford respectively.
