Manchester United announce academy intake

Daniel Gore has been named among Manchester United's academy intake ahead of the new season.

Gore, 16, scored for the Under-18s in their FA Youth Cup third round win over Salford City last season and made his first start in the U18 Premier League in February. Gore has also played for England Under-16s.

United U18s will be coached by Travis Binnion next season after Neil Ryan stepped up to the Under-23s to assist coach Neil Wood.

As well as the U18 Premier League and FA Youth Cup, United will also participate in the Uefa Youth League, which was suspended last season due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The U18 squad is currently at a training base in Scotland.

United's academy intake:

Goalkeeper: Tom Wooster, Eric Hanbury

Defenders: Sonny Aljofree, Tyler Fredricson, Marcus Lawrence, Sam Murray, Maxi Oyedele

Midfielders: Kobbie Mainoo, Daniel Gore, Sam Mather

Forward: Manni Norkett
